The Indonesia has a rich art and culture heritage, which is intertwined with religion and traditions. In Indonesia, arts forms are not only based on folklore but are also part of the religious ceremonies and activities.

Batik is one of the most popular arts. It is an ancient textile art of applying dyes to porous surfaces. Batik has been both an art and a craft for centuries. This art has been developed with such a skill that its beauty has not faded away with the passing time and it is still popular among the people today.

The Indonesian art of calligraphy has also its own unique touch, which makes it different from the art of other Islamic countries. Indonesian calligraphy has been developed on different surfaces such as canvas, walls and leather along with their styles according to the requirement of the Indonesian society. About fifteen Indonesian calligraphers are participating in the exhibition.
